this guitar was custom made with the blend of LP Supreme (neck) with LP Standard (body) and LP Custom (head). with cherry burst finishing, the glossy efx mixed very well with the mahogany wood.

first produce in 1976. wasn't famous back then because lp models are much preferred with ebony or rosewood fretboard to get that heavy tone efx.
to my opinion, this was the best gibson guitar ever made. the maple efx and the heavy mahogany give this guitar a what u called 'defy gravity' experience. the crunchy fresh maple sound and the heavy tone from the body made it perfectly clear that this is a must have guitar.
now Gibson Custom have produced the reissue model that cost around usd3k.
